11 Things About Me:
- I am married to my best friend of eight years and we are celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary tomorrow! I have never loved him more than I do now and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!
- I am from the potato capital of the world: Blackfoot ID. And I really do love potatoes...all types.
- I recently moved into my grandmother's house that is on the market and have realized that I really do love painting. I totally feeds into my love for change...and it's pretty instant! I finished all the moldings and I'm starting on the doors today! I can't wait to show you the pictures, stay tuned!
- Like Dawnelle, I am quite picky with my writing utensils. It started in middle school for me. I remember seeing a girl write my name on a check-out slip in really cute handwriting and I thought, "I want cute handwriting too". (Silly middle school girls...haha). I began to practice all different ways of writing and found that I preferred a fine pen to anything else. Then, when I was introduced to Drafter's Handwriting in college and began practicing, I realized I preferred, like Dawnelle, a thin sharpie. Still do. ;)
- I LOVE filling out agendas, journals, lists, calendars, and sometimes forms. Might be another "handwriting" thing...I have at least one of each thing that I fill out on a regular basis. It's also probably a sanity thing now that I think about it. haha.
- I love a good chic-flick. Although most of them have similar happy endings, they remind me that life really is good and that I really am blessed.
- I think this is the first time in a long time that I don't have a favorite color. There are so many beautiful ones out there right now that I couldn't tell you a favorite. Weird.
- Sometimes I really enjoy silence. And I'm realizing that I need more of it in my life. Have any of you tried meditation? Any tips or sources to go to?
- I have an awesome family. I am the oldest of five children: four girls and a boy. I also have some of the greatest in-laws too! Couldn't be more blessed there!
- I have an obsession with these little things called Texture Balls. I will never have enough.
- I also am obsessed with fonts. The other day I may or may not have squealed and told my husband that I had just found a bunch of beautiful new ones and he winked and said, "Nerd Alert!" haha...
Dawnelle's Questions for Me:
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Honestly, SE Idaho. I would love to raise my family in that beautiful area. I really do miss it! But I can't lie and say that I haven't dreamed about living in a different country for a little while...Hungary, maybe?
- Where is your favorite place to spend your money? Ross. I really shouldn't even walk into those doors...
- Would you change your name if you could? and what would you change it to? I wouldn't change my name, I would just change the way people read it...it's a long A friends...the E makes it so...
- If you could live in a book (or movie), what book would you choose and why? The Notebook. Seriously the styles back then were absolutely beautiful!
- What is the scariest thing that has happened to you? When I thought I would lose a family member to cancer.
- What do you procrastinate the most? The dishes or laundry. Ugh. Hahaha...
- Who inspires you? My mother. She is always trying to do the right thing, no matter the consequences.
- What do you think is your best personal quality? I try to be kind to everyone and stay in contact with friends even when our time together is done.
- What is one of your most vivid childhood memories? When my grandparents came home from serving an LDS mission, some of us younger grand-girls dressed up in my grandma's old dresses and the older girls did our hair and makeup We, then, put on a fashion show on their front porch with music, outfit changes, talents, and speeches for all of our extended family. The family videos of it all is hilarious now...haha!
- What will you not leave the house before doing? Making sure the lights are all off...
